“It is not what you do it’s the way you do it that gets the results”
Holistic education – centred on values, character development and academic excellence is what we strive to achieve at Xinmin Primary. We seek to nurture each child holistically.
With this in mind, we at Xinmin Primary will propel to revolutionize the ethos in the school to be one of student – centered learning. In our pursuit towards this mission, what matters most is the interaction between teachers and pupils. The point is not to tell teachers what to do, but to get them to think about the syllabus and make informed judgments about how to teach their pupils. Teachers need to adapt their teaching in response to feedback from pupils and plan how to plug the learning gaps.
Character education will be weaved into our customized programmes and activities. Through these platforms, we hope to imbue in our children confidence about themselves. Like wise, teaching of moral values via co-curricular programmes, such as community-in-partnership programmes and camps, will be provided to enhance the desired behavioural traits.
Beyond the curriculum and programmes, we need the steady guiding hand of our teachers who play a pivotal role in moving the school to the next level, with much emphasis on our children acquiring the 21st century skills.
For us to develop our children holistically, we need to work in-partnership with parents and the community at large. Everyone of us play a vital role in shaping the future of our children. Let us look forward to even better collaboration among us to bring out the best in our children.
