Welcome to Xinmin Primary School.
It is my privilege to serve this school and partner my staff and the community as we nurture our Xinminites’ hearts and minds for a changing world.
2020 has been an unprecedented year with COVID-19 affecting various aspects of our lives. In Xinmin Primary, we believe in equipping our Xinminites with the right dispositions and skills to navigate these changes so that they eventually emerge stronger mentally and emotionally from this pandemic one day.
Stepping into Xinmin Primary as a new Principal, I am heartened to see the camaraderie displayed by our Xinminites as they step up to the challenges presented to them and continue to adapt to the changing norms.
As we leverage on our Learning for Life Programme, CLOVE (Cultivating a Life Of Values and Excellence) , which anchors strongly on our core values of Care, Respect, Responsible and Resilience, our team of educators will continue to build Xinmin Primary to be a caring and supportive environment, which shall allow our students to discover their passions and purposes in learning. Xinmin shall continue to be a place that allows them to express their curiosity and creativity and yet learn to be empathic and respectful as they work with their peers and teachers to hone their knowledge in the various subject disciplines and develop good values and characters.
To start off 2021, we are delighted that MOE has recognized our GLOBE (Green Lifestyle Observed By Everyone) as our Applied Learning Programme. With climate change being one of the key concerns that Singapore and many other countries will have to contend with, we will need to inculcate in our Xinminites the importance of protecting our Mother Earth and building a future in which nature and people can thrive together.
Our progress and achievements would not have been possible without the support of the entire Xinmin community: our parents, PSG, SAC and community partners. Let us continue to work together to bring out the best in our Xinminites’ holistic development by nurturing them to be confident citizens of character, ready for the future.
