A choir is a musical ensemble of singers. Music written specifically for a choir are known as choral music. Choirs perform a wide range of choral pieces from classical to jazz to pop music.
In Xinmin Choir, students will learn singing skills such as voice projection and pitching, be exposed to a repertoire of songs, and develop an appreciation for choral music.
Students are frequently given platforms to perform and showcase what they have learnt. Our choir has performed during our school’s Teacher’s Day, National Day, and Recognition Day concerts.
This year, together with the other performing arts CCA, we held our first Performing HeArts concert. It was a memorable event for our students and parents.
Through these activities, our students build self-confidence, learn about commitment and teamwork, and foster strong relationships with their choir-mates and teachers-in-charge.
The Club aims:
- To promote character and leadership development.
- To develop a life-long love for music and choral singing.
To achieve excellence in choral singing.
