Environmental Science Club
At Xinmin Primary School, the Environmental Science Club—also known as the XMPS Environmental Activists—aims to create awareness and instil a sense of personal responsibility for the environment within the school and the wider community. The CCA nurtures environmentally friendly and sustainable habits that translate into lifelong actions, while deepening students’ understanding of biodiversity and inspiring them to protect and conserve the natural environment.
Formerly known as the Eco-Green Club, the CCA has been at the forefront of the school’s environmental initiatives since 2019, championing awareness of key environmental issues among Xinminites.
As learners, members develop environmental literacy by exploring real-world environmental challenges and understanding the importance of protecting, conserving, preserving, and restoring our natural environment. The CCA brings together students who are passionate about environmental advocacy and sustainable practices, engaging actively with global and local issues such as climate change and biodiversity conservation.
As leaders and collaborators, members take purposeful action to promote eco-friendly practices and influence responsible environmental behaviours within the school community.
